Fuel gauge vector efficiency

It’s no big secret that gas is expensive. Use the following strategies to help make bus trips more fuel efficient to save a bundle!

KEEP TIRES PROPERLY INFLATED

Tires that are not adjusted to the right air pressure can negatively impact the fuel efficiency of a bus. Regularly measure the tire air pressure, then adjust as needed. All you need is a small tire pressure gauge which can be easily stored in the bus.

CHECK THE TIRE HEALTH

Damaged tires can also negatively affect fuel efficiency. Take the time to regularly look over the tires for any embedded objects which can cause leaks and increase the chances of a blowout.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF REWARDS PROGRAMS

Some companies offer loyalty programs full of discounts or points that can be redeemed for savings. Look into what’s available in your area and figure out which reward program (or programs) will best suit your work needs.

AVOID SPEEDING

Going over the speed limit is dangerous and it’s also terrible for a vehicle’s fuel efficiency. The faster you drive, the more fuel your bus is burning. Maintain the speed limit to make the most of a tank of gas.

KEEP UP WITH BUS MAINTENANCE

A well-maintained bus will have optimal performance, which includes optimal fuel efficiency. Be sure to follow any manufacturer recommendations for preventative maintenance and take care of any issues as soon as they are discovered (and before they turn into bigger, more expensive problems).
